Martine Garabette PhD | Executive coaching

Martine Garabette PhD

Become your tomorrow today.

Often it is other people who see us for who and what we really are, albeit that coaching is all about uncovering that for ourselves. I asked someone close to me to write a short description for my About section—this is what they wrote.

Martine is a force of nature. A woman of remarkable resilience, she has faced more challenges in a few short years than she would have wished for in her lifetime—yet she stands taller, wiser, and more determined than ever. She has turned her pain into her superpower, transforming herself into a sharp, insightful and empathetic Executive Coach who partners with others to help them navigate life’s toughest adventures.

A life-experienced Executive Coach

Intelligent & insightful

I look for patterns. I help to join the dots, challenge perspectives and guide people with intellect and wisdom.

Courageous & resurgent

Life has thrown me a few stray balls. Some that I have dropped. Including heartbreak, loss, business setbacks and health challenges, and yet I strive to not let them define me. I have learnt to adapt, adjust and keep moving forward. Like the Japanese art of Kintsugi, I bear witness to all my cracks and allow the repairs to shine in their beauty and strength.

Authentic & interesting

I acknowledge the complexities of life and embrace its messiness with humour, grace and a no-nonsense attitude.

Empathetic & relatable

Having navigated some of life’s tough trails, I understand human resilience. My coaching is rooted in real experience, not just theory.

You can get stuck or adjust to what life throws at you. I choose to adjust.

How I came to coaching

Now an Executive Coach, I am a former scientist—with a PhD in neuroscience—and previously a Medical Communications company Managing Director, working for several of the largest, global pharmaceutical industries. I have held leadership positions—both in sports (squash) and professionally—and overseen business, team and individuals’ growth. I understand the neurological basis for—and the mind–body connection behind—why our beliefs, habits, emotions and behaviours are formed and why they are so difficult to change.

I developed the ADJUST Coaching™ framework on the back of my own adventure into self-discovery and transformational change following an abrupt and completely unexpected end to my marriage. I am now passionate about sharing the benefits of coaching with other people who are ready to go on a similar adventure to mine.

I have a long-held fascination with the brain.

My PhD on the neuropharmacology of circadian rhythms now ignites my interest in coaching and our rhythms—or patterns—associated with our thoughts, behaviours and emotions.

Once you start looking for them, patterns are everywhere.

Are you ready to join me for your own transformational awakening and adventure into choiceful change?

Life in transition

Small intentional shifts

Profound, lasting change
